Video from inside the car appears to show the 17-year-old driver deliberately aiming for Probst, with his friend yelling encouragement. In the wake of Azerbaijan launching ‘counterterrorism’ action against Armenia, protestors have gathered outside the government building in the Armenian capital of Yerevan. The protestors are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and shouted ‘shame’ at the police guarding the building. The protestors also blocked access to roads outside the government building amid a large police presence. <br> <br>The Azerbaijani military operation has been met with widespread condemnation, with fears that the conflict could escalate into a full-blown war. Pashinyan has denied the allegations that Armenia was using Nagorno-Karabakh as a staging ground for terror operations, saying that Azerbaijan was using it as an excuse for the ethnic cleansing of Karabakh Armenians. As the US border crisis reaches a breaking point, a freight train loaded full of migrants was filmed racing north towards the US-Mexico border. The migrants in question did not appear to be stowaways, and proudly celebrated as the train departed. Some had even erected tents in the rail cars as shelter, and were being cheered on by onlookers as they embarked on the 1,200km journey from Zacatecas to the US. The video, which lasts over a minute, shows every car full to bursting point, with migrants even hanging off the sides of the train. <br> <br>While official figures show that migrant crossings are slightly lower for 2023 than in the previous two years, this video will do little to assuage fears that the southern US border functionally no longer exists. Many border towns have been swamped with migrants, with several deciding to bus their migrants to cities such as Washington DC and New York, who pride themselves on being very tolerant and open and welcoming to everyone else being flooded with illegal immigrants.

An orangutan horrified zoogoers in Perth, Australia, after literally taking a pest problem into his own hands by dealing with a stray possum in the most devastating and spectacular way it could think of. The great ape went ape at the site of the marsupial intruder, and after yeeting the pest from the highest point it could find, went back to finish the job, first with fists, then with a stick, and then it tossed the (presumably by this point) corpse into another enclosure. <br> <br>‘I would presume it did not survive the fall,’ said a Perth Zoo official.

A New York fashion show ended with a bunch of women looking stupid and not wearing their clothes properly. However, this particular show was unusual in that it was intentional. Elena Velez’s spring/summer collection 2024 featured models (or ‘anti-heroines’ as she insisted on calling them in the program notes, or what the designer called a ‘manifesto’) trudging through mud, which was intended to turn the catwalk into some kind of swamp. The ‘anti-heroines,’ clad in a mixture of traditional fabrics and ‘debris,’ struggled to move in the mud before eventually giving up and having an all-out brawl and ripping each other’s clothes off. <br> <br>Given that the average onlooker might have mistaken this fashion exhibition for a group of drunk women outside your local bar, Velez felt compelled to explain herself in a statement. ‘The universe I strive to create through this brand has always been one which reinforces a creative space to have complex, dualistic, and paradoxical conversations about womanhood.’ And if that weren’t clear enough for you, she added, ‘It feels to me like the sanitization and unilateralization of womanhood in popular culture today leaves no room for the nuance and multiplicity we deserve as architects of labyrinthine interior lives.’ <br> <br>Still confused? Well, the designer had more to say in her ‘manifesto.’ Her new collection is a ‘ritualistic catharsis to the coddling, histrionic, and moralistic ills of oversocialization,’ and a ‘creative interpretation of the reorganization of contemporary society around feminine expressions of control and behavioral modeling.’ She described this as necessary because of a ‘climate of post-progressivism where resistance to a monolithic cultural paradigm is intensifying.’ <br> <br>If that doesn’t clear it up, then clearly you’re just a neanderthal who thinks a coat is just something to keep you warm and dry.
