Winter Wild Camping and Hiking in Snow - Canvas Lavvu - Adjustable Bushcraft Pot Hanger- Ice Fishing Cuddle Baboon 34 Views • 3 years ago

Out Bushcraft camping in really cold weather. Hands down the best adjustable pot hanger ever. Cant believe I didn't think of this before. It's so simple. And stable. It handles a load better than the adjustable knot slider I usually do. I'm very fond of simple and fast solutions so this one is a keeper. (until next time when I'm bored with it and make another lol)

A word about cooking in the wild. As with the hanger, also the cooking needs to be simple and not to time consuming. When I make a soup in my kitchen at home I fry veggies and meat, spice up and roast the flavor before adding the fluid. So what happens if you just put a frozen block of mince and thaw it directly in fluid and then add raw veggies? I've never done that before so I was very surprised I didn't notice much difference. Its still a hundred times better than freeze dried food. I have seen people who brand themselves wilderness chefs and release books etc on the subject. IMO I have not seen them simplify things. They cook exactly like in a modern kitchen. And you would need a helicopter to get their cast iron kitchen gear with seven pots, iron tripods, chains etc out there. Its rustic back porch cooking really. So this has been something I wanted to make happen. Wilderness cooking that works on real hikes in all seasons. To use only the fire, a small lightweight frying pan and some vessels. Steel only except my coffee pots. Simple and as fast as possible. And some people cant understand how you can bring a whole chicken out there. It's added weight sure. But first day of the hike you are very strong and you eat it the first evening.Then the pack feels so much lighter the next day. I mostly start with the heavy foods and work my way down to freeze dried and noodles the last day. I always bring freeze dried but I don't shoot all my meals for you guys. The reason I started with this was that I had a problem with acid reflux on my longer hikes up north in my 20s. It was the freeze dried food. My first step was to bring 5 carrots wrapped in a cloth on the next hike. I mixed them with the freeze dried meals and felt a small improvement. That and some fresh fish made a big difference. I can understand the ultralight hikers don't want to carry potatoes and meats, but it does not take much to improve the food if you try out a method that works individually.

I slept under the stars the last night. Mil-tec lightweight rain poncho directly on the snow, then Canvas Lavvu folded, thermarest neoair xtherm, reindeer skin (very lightweight). And this time I mixed the Carinthia Defense 4 with a 400 gram marmot goose down summer bag inside. I was very warm down to -22C! Once down in the bag I realized I forgot my wool socks in the backpack hanging in a tree. But I didn't need them! Great combo and it packs down just as small in the compression bag with the marmot inside. But let's never forget sleep system success is always good insulation from the ground. Thanks for watching!

On Sunday 18th June 1944, a German V1 flying bomb fell on the Guards' Chapel in Wellington Barracks on Birdcage Walk, just a few hundred yards from the Palace, during Morning Service. 121 soldiers and civilians, including the presiding Chaplain, were killed, 141 were seriously injured.

13:33 A "Mogul" brings in another train - note the porters hurrying towards the First-Class coaches! Probably pre/war. Rail travel was restricted during the War. "Is your journey really necessary?" and one would expect to see many more people in uniform, Royal Naval personnel travelling to and from "Pompey" and Devonport, as well as "brown jobs", among the passengers. Certainly the Southern Railway wouldn't be advertising "Summer Fares" at the ticket barrier,

Here is a type of shelter that our ancestors used and what, some of us are still amazed today.I built a cabin in the bush with natural materials. The hut is 2m wide by 2m long, This shelter I build it in 3 days Team with a fireplace and a window. The house is well insulated despite the rain the clays protects my very well.
Today to my knowledge, there are
still this type of practice all over the world and throughout Africa as well as in underdeveloped countries.
In my family my ancestors and also my grandfather did use clays and herbs to cover many houses.
As you have noticed I use materials found in nature. Exceptional I use a piece of plastic to create the window and and a grate to make my fireplace.
In nature at times there are objects that are of a large utility ?
My next project is to cover and strengthen my roof with clays and cover them with herbs for. avoid erosion

Many allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse had resurfaced on twitter that involved people from the common attendee to the most prolific members of the community. Lots of these situations differed in severity, from talking inappropriately with minors online to actual statutory crimes taking place. The cases that were less severe or had layers to them were treated with the same stroke of the brush, and received equal backlash regardless of the severity due to the nature of the court of public opinion. This includes the amount of false allegations that unfortunately took place. Now this brings me to call out the elephant in the room: it's gynocentrism, and it's something I quite commonly see in my community. Whenever you see a dialogue that involves gender equality, there is a certain pattern that takes place: it involves women always being in charge of the conversation. The goal of the smash community is to understandably make sure it is a safe place for women and children, whether it be in an online setting, or an in person tournament after the pandemic, so of course it is inevitable that their voices on social media are apt to get more traction. It has gotten to the point where some notable female members of the community have a twitter following that is capable of dogpiling on someone for questioning the holy gospel that is their opinion, and sometimes it can get people deplatformed or terminated from their sponsorship with esports groups. One instance was where a new character for the smash bros game was released and the character happened to be a woman with a voluptuous figure. It was then that younger members of the community took to social media and made very thirsty comments towards her body type, and in response, one girl decided to use that opportunity to talk about how women are harassed in the community, all because a bunch of teenagers were commenting on the release of a fictional character. While it is normally cringe worthy to spend time getting your rocks off on a cartoon, to attempt to make a connection with harassment in actual events is disingenuous and opportunistic at best, and no one questions it.
