Speaking at the House of Commons veterans affairs committee, Christine Gauthier claimed, “I have a letter saying that if you’re so desperate, madam, we can offer you, MAID, medical assistance in dying,” The scandal broke a week after Canada’s minister of veteran affairs revealed that at least four additional veterans had received similar offers to use the country’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) law as a solution to their problems. The promotion of Euthanasia is definitely not a new thing. A few months ago, a secretly recorded audio surfaced in which a medical ethicist is heard raising the subject of euthanasia with a disabled patient, Roger Foley, after reminding him that he was costing the system “north of $1,500 a day.” Foley told the AP that he had never previously expressed any desire for a medically assisted death, and began recording the staff after they kept mentioning it to see if he had “an interest.” unquote. Isn't it awesome to live in a country with socialized medicine where they have to provide service but if you cost them too much they promote the idea that you should end it all. If you have cash you can get something from the vending machines and your only stranded for 4 hours at most. Unlike the place I picked them up from. The that was with my friend tried to pay me when we got there. He looked shocked when said it was fine. I grew up with a dad that would always help people out like this and he gets mad when I do it. Apparently its not safe, these are different times and so on. Yet he still does it. I also had a lot of strangers be kind to me and help me out. I figured that was the norm. As long as it's safe to help and not a big deal, I'm not going to reprogram how I treat people, so I'll just have get used to men acting weird about it. Sincerely, Miss Fat Cat. I was with someone for 1.5 years who always said he didn’t want anything serious, kept on seeing him then we were in a relationship but then changed his mind too after one tiny disagreement which he even admits was trivial. I’m at a loss as to what I’m doing wrong here. There’s no correlation to whether I have sex on the first date or after a few dates the outcome is always the same. I’m a nice girl, kind, funny, in shape (I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and get positive comments alot by guys) good looking, eats healthy, lots of friends, hobbies and have a busy life with work, friends etc everyone I talk to says I deserve the world and one day I will but I’m starting to think my one day will never come. Every guy has acted like they wanted to be with me and when I spoke about it, agree they want the same thing too and soon after end up saying they actually don’t and then what’s worse get mad at me for questioning their behavioral making me feel crazy. Now my judgement is all off. I feel like no matter what guys will never want to be with me really. I’m 31 and can I say I am not short of options by any means. the dudes I have chosen from my options are the ones who end up acting this way. I’m not choosing to date guys who haven’t already shown very much interest from the start. This is not my whole life experience, it’s recent of the last 4 ish years. I have had meaningful relationships in the past. One of 4 years 18-22 one of 2 years 23-25 another of 2 years 25-27 and last one on-off but official for 1.5 years.
