There's an oxymoron if I've ever heard of because who lives at work. So women have been taking office administration jobs and are now complaining about emptying the office dishwasher and whatnot. Do you really expect the men to clean up after themselves when technically they are paying you to do so? It's not like there aren't cleaning staff that come in after closing hours. I've spoken about how when men started pulling their weight and doing 50% or more of the housework and when women's wages were equal to men that they would be looking for the next oppression game play. That's how feminists get funding to fight for more rights by always complaining about some wrong even if it's madeup. It used to be the wage gap but you don't hear too much about that anymore as more women than men are getting degrees. I found an article called "Women Do More Office Housework—Here’s How To Avoid It" and now I'll read select parts from it and I quote: "Office housework includes all the administrative tasks, menial jobs and undervalued assignments needed to keep your workplace running smoothly. It’s estimated women do 29% more office housework than white men. Women are more likely than men to volunteer for these tasks. They do so because of deeply held gender stereotypes that women are expected to be helpful at work and home. To establish that women don’t volunteer because they enjoy these tasks or excel at them, researchers studied groups of three participants in online groups. Participants were told they’d each be paid $1 for their participation, with one catch. If one of the three participants clicked a button on the computer screen, that person would receive $1.25, and the other two would receive $2. Women were 48% more likely than men to volunteer to press the button. In other words, women took a hit so that everyone came out better. The researchers repeated the same study with one exception—the groups were comprised of either three men or three women. I found myself with a lot money in my early twenties and my dad said it would be a good idea to buy a house so I did. I lived there with my significant other for many years. The neighborhood learned quickly that despite everything, I have the personality of a cranky old man that tells people pipe down and get off my lawn. We never had any real issues with anyone. Most found it odd for young couple to live there, but we just went with it. The rooms that where typically used for childrens bedrooms got turned into a home office and walk-in-closet. We kept to ourselves. At some point it was better for us to move and I keep the property. My dad asked if I would let a cousin of mine and his girlfriend move in. The house market had turned to hell at this point. I made it clear I was against it and was only doing it because dad helped me with the layers and legal stuff that made possible for me to own the property. I let my cousin move in and he trashed the place. My cousin learn things the hard way because I kicked him out to have the place renovated and was put up for rent again. My family ask if they can rent it them? The answer was no. I went trough a 3rd party that did background checks on everyone and deals with the renters. The place is rented to people I never met or talked to before. As far as I knew everything was fine. Until 2 weeks ago that is. The women from houses number 4 and 5 started texting me with noise complaints, drug use and they felt unsafe and some other things. My unit is number two but units 1 and 3 which were next to mine didn't send me any messsages. Apparently this was going on for months now. I wondered why it was 4 and 5, but not 1 and 3 texting me. 1 phoned when my cousin was trashing the place, gave aces to his camera's for the shady stuff that was going on and we agreed if there was problems with the renters, he would call me. I told the women in units 4 and 5 to call the cops if they had problems. 5 was not happy and told me her son rented out as well and that as the landlord I had to do something. I shot back that in that case she should know I can't do anything without an official complaint and renters have rights too. Eventually the guy in unit 1 called me nand I went to the house that night and there was a party going on. Even with all the noise I saw 4 and 5 where sound asleep in their homes, while I heard mild jazz music form my place. I could barley hear anything at 3 let alone at unit 4 or 5. The complaints where ungrounded. The front door was open and while I walked by everything looked fine to me. Hell, I even talked to some of the teenage guests at the front. They seemed well mannered. I never spoke to the renters. The next day the guy in unit one 1 told me he was ok with the renters. Nothing that needed my attention. It seems the teenage son has a habit of hanging out in front with friends smoking pot which is legal here. I'm happy his parents are upholding the no smoking in the house rule. The kids stay at 2, the sons own freaking house. So I realy don't see what the problem is. The house looks fine, the rents paid on time. I don't bother them and they bother me.
