The Truth About Non Competition Agreements

But, what are non competition agreements? According to Wikipedia, a non compete agreement "is a term used in contract law under which one party (usually an employee) agrees not to enter into or start a similar profession or trade in competition against another party (usually the employer). Some courts refer to these as "restrictive covenants." As a contract provision, a CNC is bound by traditional contract requirements including the consideration doctrine".

One of the reasons why programming sucks is the technology. Technology changes at a rapid pace and it is very difficult to keep up with those changes. Another reason why programming sucks is that it can be difficult and well... The building process is also "shitty".

In today's video I decided to talk about a concept that I consider very important and I think a lot of people still haven't acknowledged it yet... The concept that nobody is going to save you.
I've done some videos that were kind of controversial. Those videos were kind of strong in terms of content and a lot of people commented with different opinions from mine. While I agree with some of them, I want to answer you something: Do you think somebody is coming to save you?
Nobody will save you. No magic fairy will magically appear and turn your life upside down and, suddenly, you'll wake up with a lot of money and your life completely transformed. This definitely won't help you.

The harmful thing is that he is putting this woman on a complete pedestal. He thinks about her all the time and, doing that, he automatically puts her on a pedestal while he thinks he will never get a chance with her.
In this video, I try to explain why you should NOT put women on a pedestal and, instead, create a life that is so good and awesome that people would enjoy being at your side and be a part of it, along with you.

Stop Explaining Yourself Too Much!
There is a super bad habit that we all might be guilty of and you should be aware of it NOW!
Most of us, on some area of our lives, end up giving too much explanation for things that wouldn't require such things. The worst thing is that we end up doing those things without even noticing it!
Explaining yourself itself isn't a bad thing and sometimes some explanation might be needed, even to preserve your integrity. However, when you start to explain yourself too much you end being too weak.
This is a principle you should stick to and start implementing on your life ASAP. This is the third video of a series I've done about topics such as making threats and apologizing.

An Advice On Scamming Moving Companies
As some of you already know, I'm moving across the country, from Florida to San Diego. Through this moving period, I've come across different companies, strategies and ways to get my things moving.
In this video, I want to talk and give you some advice on scamming moving companies. Moving companies can seem like a good deal at first, but, if you don't take care and prevent yourself legally, you can get into some real trouble.
Turns out that, at the end of my moving, the company tried the hardest they could to get me pay more for the freight. And this is something more frequent than you may know of.

Design is often seen as a mystical subject. It's 8 or 80: You either have "they eye" for design or you don't. What most programmers don't actually realize is that, in fact, they can learn ANYTHING, even design.
If you're a programmer and you want to learn design, however, you'll have to commit. Learning design is a devotion and it is not something you become a master overnight. It takes time, it takes devotion and it can be tricky sometimes.

Overeating: Why We Eat More Than We Need?
If you face some problems with diet and fitness you're probably going to relate to me. Why we overeat? Why we tend to eat a lot more than we need?
There are a lot of reasons behind overeating but all of them relates to our emotional state. Eating is one of the few things we do that is always good. You can't feel like crap when you're eating, so, it unconsciously become an escape mechanism for whatever problems or difficult situations you're going through.
This is the reason why so many people are not able to come up with a diet plan. And if you're fasting, you can become frustrated for not being able to eat and to make yourself feel better through that mechanism.

Don't Make Threats, Just Take Action!
How many times on our lives we make threats to people? "If you do this, I'll do that" or "If you keep doing this, I'll do that", etc.
Whether it is on our personal life, on our business life or even in our relationships, we still make threats to people. Unfortunately, making threats can result in a not-so-good ending. People, after you threaten them, always tend to reverse their behaviour but, after a while, they always go back to what they originally were.
This is why you should jump directly into action. Don't make threats anymore. Just take action.

Change Your Friends, Change Your Life!
This is a frequent question I receive and it is also a question that I often cover on my YouTube videos. It all started when I covered a concept extracted from "The Personal MBA" Book which stated that "Your Setpoints Determine Your Reality".
After that, I've received a lot of questions from people asking me how they could change their setpoints. I did a video about that which stated that you needed to change your social circle if you wanted to change your setpoints.
Jim Rohn once said: "You Are The Average Of The Five People You Spend The Most Time With". Due to that, if you really want to raise your setpoints, you need to change your friends and the people you hang out with.
But... Isn't it mean? Isn't it evil? How should you change your friends? Should you stop hanging out with them? Should you cut them out of your life?

Most people think that conflict is bad. They get intimitade by confrontation and they end up doing nothing and they do it all to avoid getting into a conflict.
Most of it can have psychological root causes such as low self esteem and lack of confidence which would be impossible to cover here.

Said that, things still happen on a more basal and instinctive level. And what I mean by that is that appearance matters. And being physically fit is part of that.

Why People Don't Value The Present Moment?
Most people appear that they don't value the present moment. They all seem to live either in the past or thinking about the future. Over the past weeks I recorded a video with my daughter about trusting the process. In this video, I taught her how to trust the process and why this is so important for her personal growth.
Regarding that video, I received a lot of comments, especially from relatives, about why I should treasure those moments, because I would regret it when after they had been gone.

Comparing yourself to others... Don't we all to that? In this video I talk a little about how you should STOP comparing yourself to others and why this is one of the most harmful things you do to yourself.
Bottom line is: Comparing yourself to others won't do you any good, nor will make you develop yourself. The habit of comparison is so harmful that it makes you devalue yourself and your work.

How much "suffering do you have on your life right now?
While it may seem intimidating the way I talk about this "suffering", take a moment to think about it. And take everything I say in this video into consideration.
Sometimes, we avoid suffering and we avoid getting into everyday situations that may do us harm. Things such as living on a budget, taking a cold shower and sleeping on the floor, are usually seen as bad things that should be avoided.
But, what if some of these things were actually good? What if those things could act as a powerful personal development method?

Do you lie to yourself?
If you do, then you're about to destroy your entire life and career! Lying to yourself is one of the worst things you can do to yourself.
Most of us don't actually seek out truths. Instead, we try to avoid even finding them out.
There are places in your life that are screwed up. There are insecurities which you have inside that you don't wanna face. But, you REALLY need to face it.
If you really want to be successful you need to be true to yourself. Lying to yourself in all (or just in specific) areas of your life will be very harmful to you.
If there is one advice I could give you is... Don't life to yourself. Instead, choose to face reality.

I was listening to an audiobook and I've came up with a very interesting statement: "You have to let go of what you have in order to get what you want".
This couldn't be more true when it comes to getting what you want in your life.

What is this 70/30 rule all about? Well, most of us spend more time-consuming content and learning new stuff instead of producing.
