You know, that average or below average value guy that you know likes you and wants to date you, either because he’s literally expressed that he does or his attitude and the way he treats you makes it obvious that he does. While it’s great that he’s nice and sweet and does whatever you ask of him, he’s still not entitled to a date, sex or a relationship with you. Do not feel guilty because you are not attracted to him and have to reject his advances. Your preferences matter and your only job is to express your lack of interest in him and leave him to do with that information whatever he feels is best for himself. When you’re an attractive woman, some men derive joy from just being with you without there even being a sexual relationship between you two. Of course, he would prefer there to be sex, but when you’re high value, some will accept and even enjoy just being in your company. Men in the friendzone choose to be there. Whether or not their reason for staying there is because they’re still holding unto hope that one day you will change your mind or because they’ve just refused to get the hint, is not your concern. Do not waste the time that you could be using on your hobbies, other interests and honing in strategies to get the one you actually want, worrying about a guy that has chosen what he wants to do. If he wants to fix something for you, allow him. If he wants to pay for your meal whenever you guys happen to hang out together, let him. If he wants to give you a ride to somewhere you need to be, take the offer. As long as you’ve communicated to him, at least once, that you’re not interested in dating him, there is absolutely nothing to feel guilty about when a man still wants to be in your life and just enjoys doing things for you. If he still keeps coming back and wants to remain in your life, do not feel bad for accepting his friendship, especially if he’s otherwise a great friend that’s very useful to you emotionally. Enjoy the emotional support, pleasant company, friendship and help when offered. No one is forcing him. He’s an adult man capable of making his own decisions. If he likes being in the friendzone, then leave him there." unquote.
