So some woeman with baggage gets offed by who knows which man she screwed over and the eldest son gets the blame? This sounds like some kind of abrahamic sacrifice. Why are they interviewing him again? Was he absolved? This story is confusing.
Whoever it was that off'd her in some way saved all the kids. The family would have split up and she would probably bunk up with another man with all the myriad children. Their lives would have been shit and some - the boys - would commit suicide down the line.
Praise be to whichever god intervened in the lives of those kids, they do work in mysterious ways.
