Thanks for sharing. It looked as though you plumbing fixtures were serving up the coffee...What would you say were the main differences between Albufeira and your hometown? What would you say were the main similarities?

When you say hometown do you mean where I live now? If so then weather is warm and sunny everyday and the winds are calm, also quiet and far less populated. People aren't rushing around everywhere stressed. Similarities is a lot of Albueira has been taken over by tourists and has lost its identity just like where I live on the south coast UK. This is like answering a question on a test paper at school, are you going to mark it?

@SoloMan Zone: So very cool - thanks for that. On the other side of that coin, did you notice differences and /or similarities in yourself, as to your demeanor/behavior within this "foreign" environment?

@Seamus: Takes a day or two to actually relax, and act like they are.... normal.

Cheers, dove season so far looks as bleak and void as Albufeira. Seems the uncharacteristic high temperatures are keeping them north for an extra spell. Have a great weekend and good travels.

Bummer! It was a bit hot in Albufeira usually not that hot. Vilamoura is a nicer place but maybe in middle to late October

@SoloMan Zone: Never been to Portugal, however went to Madrid, Barcelona , then through Trier France on a trip to Germany in 1976. The continent was a bit less tourist then.

@James1225: It is good for a place but it always destroys it in the end

Hmmm, depression so thick, you could cut it with a butter knife... nothing says like home than that! LOL! Well, at least you had a good trip, possibly with some alien probing... hey, free prostate exam, right!?
