I was in SATCOM in the US Air Force . I began training in 1990. By some chance or miraculous intervention, I walked into a used bookstore when I was 8 months into my SATCOM training.... This book was about all the cancers which occurred to employees working in buildings which housed SATELLITE defense towers on them. The cases were too many to read in fine print, and the book was about 3 inches thick!! I went to my commander to ask her ro look at thus book. I had been sold on thia career choice because they needed to fill this career field, so of course I had been given zero disclosure of the potential risks to my health or to my offspring. I was told that the only way to get out of this field now was to fail a test. The next day I failed the first test I had ever failed...all to get out of thus field.
