I think the problem with just telling the kid "punch him in the face" that doesn't work if the other kid is stronger or tougher than him.
Sure you could tell the kid to work out and train,but if the bully is doing the same thing that's probably not going to be a working solution either.
The answer is to encourage adults and teachers to get involved. Guarantee if the teachers were still allowed to spank them with a wooden paddle until the couldn't walk straight this crap wouldn't happen.
Whats worse
To allow a kid to be psychologically messed up and physically bullied for multiple years,causing mental health problems for well as many kids as the bullies want to abuse. And then force the CHILD to be the one to solve this problem.
Or on the other hand. We just allow adults to punch that little brat in his face,and make him stop forever.
I know which one I prefer.
We all wonder why some of these ultra rich douchebags abuse children with their money,why they enjoy causing pain and permanent physical or psychological damage to children. My question is,how many of these megalo-maniacal serial pedophile rapists used to be bullies?
Because the educational system permitting them to spend many many of their formative years abusing children,permitting their minds to be shaped by the experience of torturing other children.....would actually explain how they became the way that they are.
And that's not entirely their fault. The adults and teachers etc of society around them failed them completely. To the point where they stood by for years and did nothing while someone who otherwise could've become a good person was allowed to indulge in their dark desires to harm the other children around them until that behavior became a permanent part of their personality.

Telling a kid they should fight back is all well and good. But in the end it's the responsibility of us adults to protect children,especially if we have to protect them from each other. The fallout of doing nothing is far worse than the act of hitting a child.
