adblocker observations on youtube

that's true, and in many ways they still allow the public see the video without the adblocking, right now they are targeting accounts, but i can still watch and adblock any video so long as i'm not logged into that video i'm watching. i mean your right, they might eventually resort to blocking an IP address and that can fuck with them at some point because many people share wifi and that could take their potential power away and even less people would see their ads, so they would only cause more issues for their viewership by doing this.

oh i forgot to mention that they stopped blocking me after a few hours of me making this video, i didn't even have to wait on an update for brave, so i assume they only can pull this little trick for a small period of time, idk for sure why they stopped but i can watch videos without the stupid message showing up and i have no idea why. earlier today i saw another youtuber talking about this and he used Ublock Origin and he just showed a tutorial to clearing his cache of that browser and that fixed the issue for him. so it's just so funny watching the creative ways everyone is still finding more ways to still block the ads lol.

@KEEPER: Yeah but 2 x shitty ideas + 2 x shitty ideas = 22 shitty outcomes... (Lesbian math) The content creators have been driven off big time, their subscribers are leaving as well.. and all Youtube who just has their text to speech narration and formula factory videos, the chokeing of the content with endless adds, and then blocking the people who use add blockers etc, it's as smart as moving a fresh dead animal into the summer heat instead of the deep freeze.... it's an exponential exercise in finishing themselves off....

@KEEPER: Yeah I think they are making good on their threat to block access - but given what fucking idiots they are - they are all retard feminists and the people are running rings around them and then they do another "add in" / "adjustment" / "blocking method" and then gradually cutting back access, until only very sophiticated users can access and everyone else just gives up.... Or they pay up... I think they are walking a very thin tight rope and they know it... the equation is falling into company collapse and oblivion and they more stupid shitty stuff they do, the more they wobble on that wire...... I will watch some content on youtube, using Firefox with Add Blockers, with Chrome = No. As soon as the arse fuck adds start up - off the video goes.

@KEEPER: Blocking access - but they are calculating the odds if they don't run the adds, and blocking the add blockers, and how many people will leave if they do block them all, and how many people will pay for an increasinly SHIT platform, and people are complaining big time about the fees and what you get for it and how they are fucking people around...

Once upon a time it was the worlds repository for a lot of really brilliant material... and now... they have wiped out so many GOOD channels and gone cheap - probably to funnel all the cash into their own coffers instead of lettting other people earn theirs... @Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: yeah, i miss the old owners, they knew how to run a business, and honestly i don't think advertisers even care what their content shows up on, i remember youtube making the argument that was the whole reason, but i don't think so, i feel like that was a bullshit argument that they were making so they control speech which is why it just keeps getting worse and worse on the platform, i remember no ad company before google purchased the platform cared where their content showed up on, they only cared how many people saw their ads, they could give a fuck about the youtube channels content they only cared about the audience numbers that could potentially see their ads.
