Adolf Hitler - Mein Kampf - Ford Translation MP4 (4:20 silence at start)

There is an MP3 version of this audio book and now there is an MP4 version of the same audio book.

The main differences are that the MP3 plays on any MP3 player and the MP4 can be placed on video only hosting sites.

The other differences are that the MP3 is about 1.2 Gig and the MP4 is about 2.2 Gig, for some nearly 27 hours of narration.

I created a better cover for the MP4 Audio book, showing Adolf smiling and cheerful to show that he was a real person with issues..

What inspired the updating and creating of the MP3 (audio) and MP4 (video) audio books, from an obselescent format, was that Mein Kampf was "the worst book I had ever tried to read". It was the emotional equivalent to tying a mill stone around your neck and being drowned in icy cold mollasses.

As a fairly robust reader, when I first STARTED to read Mein Kampf, I went "Wow - this is really good - he was literate, used big words, clear, concise and complex language and and it was really good. But the longer I went on with it, the more it began to look repititious and ranting and kind of clinically insane and the harder it got to read. So I went from 20 pages at a sitting, to 5 pages at a sitting and then to a page or two, by the time I got to near the 1/3rd of the way through, and then this progress dropped to a page or two a week to a paragraph or two a week to a sentence or two every week or two.... This book, became impossible to finish.

It wins the award for the most amazing experience of being the worst book I have ever tried to read and the ONLY book I could not make myself conplete.

It's really good at being dreadful.

But because I take an interest in things it came about that the Ford translation was supposed to be the best, and it was an audio book, listening to it was the ONLY way I could ever get through it and usually by playing it in the back ground...

In it's insanity by a really fucked up author, with shit loads of abuse issues and some real and not so real perceptions - it's still a really valuable historical text.

Only I don't know how any historian / academic or casual reader, could get their way through it....

But the audio book is a very digestable format...

It's not so, "Oh Jesus Fuck - this is aweful - this is really fucking bad - I can't deal with it".

So I hope it's useful as a good study book.

You know I always fancied records ABOUT people like Hitler, but it's not the same as reading what the man had to say for himself...

It's a whole different league of understanding.

Back to the original intro.

The entire former product of 28 sequentially played MPA audio format files, because they are technologically obselescent, all the files were converted to MP3, joined into ONE single MP3 file, and the embedded graphic was included. The identical introduction files have been reduced to one at the beginning of the entire file, instead of two, with the second playing midway through. Other that these technologically relevant upgrades, the file is identical.

The original M4A files were done to a high standard, BUT that format and it's players, have been vanishing into the mists of time, and while it had excellent quality and compression, the M4A codec is more or less gone forever.

Hence the conversion to MP3 and now to MP4.

Original Notation.

For the first time in 65 years, a modern, easy to understand, truly complete, and uncensored edition of Mein Kampf has been released, which reveals more than any past translation. This is also the first translation available in an English language audio format.

Older translations altered passages, omitted passages, mistranslated Hitler's words, and made some parts more sensational while concealing the true meaning of other parts of the book. If you have read one of those older translations of Mein Kampf, then you have not read the real Mein Kampf, which is found only in the Ford Translation.

Mein Kampf is often portrayed as nothing more than an anti-Semitic work; however, only six percent of it references the Jews. The rest contains Hitler's ideas and beliefs about a greater nation and his plan for accomplishing that goal. He outlines his plans for not only world conquest, but the conquest of the universe. The majority of the work involves Hitler's discussion of the German people's difficult times after the First World War, his political theories, and his organization of the Nazi Party, as well as many attacks against his enemies.

Mein Kampf offers an interesting interpretation of politics, people, and foreign-policy matters. To characterize it as only a racist work is to oversimplify.

The Ford Translation offers:

The most accurate translation ever produced
Phrases that are translated with precision and without translator bias
Uncommon words replaced with more common and meaningful terms
References to unfamiliar people or places explained in the text
All original passages and references restored, including passages omitted from other common translations

This translation has corrected over 1,000 errors present in past translations and is the only edition so thoroughly researched and verified that it required a separate book
