Young and raw... Its always the best time for a band... And always loved John Bonham power drumming.

He was a force. Big influence on many drummers, opened the doorway to other greats. His favorite was Barrie(more) Barlow from Tull. Said he was the greatest drummer the UK ever produced. That sort of thing looks pretty on a resume.

@Drums McBashington: I always loved Keith Moon’s power druming! You couldn’t listen to Quadrophenia loud without playing the air drums when Moon started to tear up the drums. I know I did!! The Real Me - The Who - Quadrophenia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9l-Zuu5cR4

@Stinky_Hillbilly: Ha, almost did the same with mine. Meant to say 'pretty good', got pretty. Meh, close enough. Keith. That guy. He was a mystery, when I was a young drummer. Things didn't add up, make sense. Not just me, many other drummers I've known have told me the same or agreed with my assessment. A lot of the footage that was available wasn't that good, mostly mimed TV shows where he would clown around for the camera. Another thing was his sound, it added to the things that didn't add up. Research reveals the reasons. Moon's toms were all the same size. Tuned down from one another, he favoured cymbals over his hat, which freed his leftfoot for extra double bass. Which were cranking most of the time. Explains the sound thing. Much better footage has emerged since, some actual live stuff. Excellent. You can really get a close look and appreciate one of the most unique drummers in the history of drummers. A genuine wingnut and a percussive genius.
