The chainsaw had the exhaust facing away from the camera, the trimmer had the exhaust facing the camera. That's why both sound roughly the same. They don't, the chainsaw is louder.

I can't believe how quiet the trimmer is compared with a 2 stroke!

Is not trying to blow my ears as the chainsaw. These tools also have to comply with anti-polution rules. Don't know if Euro5 or Euro6, but the smell reminds me of my old motorcycles. Not something I was missing...

@The Man Inside: Yeah, we have the same EPA regulations on yard equipment here in the states, but I don't think our regulations are as strict as yours!

@bigintol03: When it comes to vehicles, there's no more carburetor engines. Every vehicle must have a diagnosis port, making fuel injection mandatory. I know Husqvarna makes fuel injected two stroke chainsaws, most have carburetors. I assume the rules for lawn mowers, chainsaws, etc, are not as strict as it is for cars/motorcycles. Otherwise there would be no two strokes chainsaws on the market. Because both noise and gases emissions. The EuroX regulations are not only about air pollution, but also regulate noise emissions.

@The Man Inside: DAMN!!! We have nothing here about noise control...that's crazy!!! PS. I know Stihl also makes a fuel injected chainsaw!

@bigintol03: PPS. If you would have told me back when I was a kid in the 80's (even into the early 90's) that there would eventually be emissions on yard equipment, I would have told you that you were fucking insane!

@bigintol03: I remember in the eighties no one liking dykes. A divorced woman would be cast aside and no man would touch her. I also remember lonely men, just like today. Guess things didn't change that much for men...

@The Man Inside: For men, not at all...as for women, things have changed 180°!

@bigintol03: reading the trimmer manual, "it was not built for commercial or industrial use". Time will tell what that means.

@The Man Inside: It's just another way the manufacturer can try to weasel out of fulfilling the warranty!

@bigintol03: The lady who took the broken one back told me if I was a company, the warranty would be 6 months only instead of 3 years. I may use it "intensively" now and then, but not commercial use...

Needs adjustments here and there, but mostly adaptation from me.
