Being A Slow Developer... Am I Screwed?

So, software development, just like any other area that you decide to work, means much more than simply writing code. In order for anyone to succeed in a certain career, they should have a lot more skills in their skillsets.

One of the most popular type of skills I consider of extremely importance is Soft Skills, which are a set of skills that goes beyond technical and includes people, social, finances, etc.

Besides that, over the last few years, there seems to be a new skill that is more and more demanding than anything else, which is SPEED. Being a fast developer seems to be a new demand for companies.

So, what should you do if you're a slow programmer? Should you give up programming? Are you screwed and this means you'll never be able to succeed in your career?
