The state locked him up and seized everything he owned.. sent him to prison..l Just to have to release him. .and in the documents you can see the state NEVER acknowledges the err of their ways.. it's unbelievable ..and he is like the only one I know who really got money from his parents.. so,, I have thought manyt times as I get old to give everything to my son BEFORE I DIE!! yet the state wanted that money.. or the people working for the state wanted that money.. they act like they cannot believe a parent would give their money to their kids.. His brother who came forward was alot older than him and was already squared away. .Dave was it at that point as heirs go and they did something good.. for their son.. imo .. David Bernau was a friend of mine.. His parents were pharmacists and he grew up right by the beach.. well, Dave and one of his brothers were a little off .. They had to involve a judge from a different county.. but he got out of prison. .is now homeless in charlotte county.. Dave was cool .. very entertaining and the type who wanted to be a cop.. he was a volunteer fireman..
