If you ONLY count the observant Jews who attend the synagogue and are full Jews, then you're only at 2%. *BUT* if you include the half-Jews, quarter-Jews, eighth-Jews, atheists, secular Jews, and crypto-Jews, I'd say we're looking at 6%. It would be difficult to get an accurate demographic study of the aforementioned mixed and hidden Jews since it would be treated as an anti-Semitic study.
