Caught in an Avalanche in Kyrgyzstan (Everyone Survived)

Hands up those who ducked as the snow came in......

It's quite a lovely day and place to die actually.... and then not. :)

@Julian6669: It's both absolutely beautiful and absolutely fabulous, and there is a strong belief that it will peter out and stop in the bottom of the valley and then it will bank up at the hill and then..... it just keeps on coming..... The avalanch is composed of "heavy air" - by the time it gets over the crest at the top of the valley, and then comes all the way down, it is essentially a 3D mass of pulverised snow and ice, having more in common with the air falling down with the water from a bathroom shower... except the combination of air and snow is moving VERY FAST and it will flow for a considerable distance. .... Even up hill and over things. While not to be underestimated by the time it got to him, it was a heavy horizontal snow shower ..... and he had something to duck behind.
