MYTH 1:
if migrants can live on 6k a year then that means that cost of living is much much lower in quatar than in the USA, therefore living in quatar making 66k would be like living in the USA making 150k a year, also, if things are so bad for them (which they are not) then why don't they leave, no one is holding them there against their will, they are not slaves, they are migrants after all, they chose to come to quatar, but they keep coming and wont leave because quatar offers them much better living standards than any where else they could go.

Refuting conservative absolutism by pointing at modern societies is about as valid as refuting patriarchy(as a good thing) by pointing at modern societies. Not saying its perfect or should be applied universally, just that it has its own merits and theres a place for it in society.
