Yeah but he is a kid without a particularly bright situational awareness - and his friend isn't so clever either.... One of the things about getting older is remembering all the near misses you had, doing similar things and gaining the experience, so you can then espouse all this worldly wisdom... AND many adults in some sense are kind of just as culpible as the youngsters, for not teaching the kids, to THINK more about EVERYTHING that is going on - around them and into the future, and not just doing what they are doing then and there. If 4 x a year they got a big group of kids, and taught them road riding skills and some basic stunt skills, with helmets and pads and safer places to practice... I also mean extending this to steering the bike through mud and going around dirt road corners etc.. FAST., or by locking up the back wheel etc.. good piloting skills....
