Somehow (per the Wikipedia article) Carbon Dioxide killing off a whole village along with livestock doesn't make sense, since CO2 feeds the plants, which give us and livestock Oxygen, which we breathe. Now, (per Jimco) Hydrogen Sulfide gas? That would sound more like the killer in this scenario. JMO.
