There's a shortage of skilled tradespeople throughout the American economy, and it is a persistent problem that started well before the pandemic. But what's behind that gap and what can be done? Paul Solman reports for our series, "Work Shift", which focuses on navigating the job market in a post-COVID economy.

No matter how big the elephant gets, they will never admit that it's there. Probably relieved that scamvid popped up as a convenient excuse. Even proved Affirmative Action failed in this regard, women want easy, comfortable jobs. Good job for Ms. CEO, there, but only as long as men are doing her work. Back to plumbing by herself if they bail.

She was paying this back working at a dollar store.

Some people... just don't want to work. Easier to be a "professional student" for many. Don't get me started about the STEM fields.

The irony of female gender studies 'professors' complaining that they need females in STEM, to classrooms packed to the tits with female gender students, escapes them. The professional students graduate to professional victims eventually.

@SQUEAK077: Look at teachers through the grades by gender in North America, mostly female. They teach kids how to feel about things. Almost half a generation has never heard of Stalin, I just read the other day. Boys growing up are stunted on purpose, graded more harshly, affecting long term records and futures. They've tried competing for decades. Stacking the deck and slanting the field. Nothing worked, so they must destroy.

@Drums McBashington: I am on a *paid site* for women over seas. Granted some are jerks but 80 percent are decent. Long ago a co worker went to thailand found a woman. His friends wives. They are hookers and will take you to the cleaners. I guess later on those women divorced. This man had a few kids gets sex she cooks cleans and they are happy. The school system here messes kids up in the head. They get all the toys they do not suffer and 300 nikes,900 cell phone then at 16 a 40k car i have seen it.

"Where have all the disposable utilities gone?" the clueless fee fail asks, while the gravy train slowly grinds to a halt.
This is what Atlas Shrugging looks like, stupid assed fucking fee fails. I shall enjoy watching them suffer, starve, die of exposure and predation and most of all receive cans of expired dog food for blow jobs. Make no mistake, gentlemen, all this, this whole place, everything, is going away very soon. When the power goes out, the day of reckoning will commence. Are you prepared?
