I'm not a gamer either! lol...Not unless you count my old 8 bit Nintendo that my Grandfather bought for me in 1986 when I was 9! I also feel compelled to tell you that I still have it! >:D

i guess because of the generation gap, you would have to apply this mentality to what they tried to do back in your day, i know rock and roll was demonized by Christian parents back then and most media was conservatives leaning to a degree, but they were nowhere near as bad as it is now. lol, not sure how old you are, but i think you could be a boomer? born roughly in the 50s or 60s era?

i was literally born in 86, and most of the 80s i can't remember because i was a stupid kid always living in my own head lol, it wasn't until the mid 90s when i started paying attention to things in life and the biggest thing for me was video games, which is why i post stuff like this.

but i have done some research into some history and even listen to some oldies, some of the music even older than you lol, lately i have been enjoying doo wop, but i kind of bounce around a bit as i also liked classic rock and roll, and in my research into past history some things were way better than our current reality of life, but many things like tech was held back, still i believe i would have fit better in the past than some of my current reality better, however in my current standing in life right now i doubt i would get much help being disabled, i would probably end up homeless without any government assistance as that didn't really become a thing until a certain point of history.

the funny thing is i didn't come to listen to that music by chance, it was simply because of a video game called fallout that had songs from the past that you as the player could listen to while you played the game, eventually after listening to some songs enough, it got to a point when you wanted to listen to more period set music but a much larger variety of songs, which set me on this great path of music that i loved listening to.

@KEEPER: I'm 46, 47 in January, I was born in '77...so I'm a gen Xer! My parents were pretty old when I was born so alot of my musical influence come from my mother and uncle lots of 50's music and then as I got older I drifted into 60's 70's and especially the 80's! because I was a kid in the 80's and 80's music ROCKS!!!
