Aside from some matching issues in skin tone etc in a few minor parts.. which might need a lot of work and processing power, the story line was good, the issues of mental impairment and cognitive decline was well played out and it worked really well. It doesn't need to be perfect to be enjoyable, only perfect enough.
I have seen the original movie before. I can't remember which one it was though.
However it was well chosen....
There is a sequence of SEVEN Soviet movies on the Great Patriotic War on my channel, and they had 130,000 people acting in it, and because it was such a colossal epic, the people in the real world who they picked to be Stalin, Hitler and Churchill - were with very little in the way of make up and prosthetics etc., almost exact reproductions of the real people, as is... Have a look at it. There was only ONE of the films I could not get hold of in Russian - and it was fucked up with narration and English subtitles - I am quite all right with any movie in any language... It's worth studying the set....
