I actually did try to catch up with her about 30 years after this, just to see how she was doing.

I was about 25 years drug free at the time, and I tracked her down, but I am not sure if I was actually able to connect with her - or if I did...

There was a couple of pictures of her and her partner at the time, and she was OLD and DRUG FUCKED and Uggghhhhh.......

And I think if the corpse's of the past are long gone down the river, for the most part - then they are best left to keep on their way, instead of trying to drag them back through some great period of time.

Me and this woman - aside from smoking dope and fucking - there was NOTHING of value or worth to go back to - even in a "Hi how are you!" sense.

This of course does not cover all situations and somehow some people may get parted for reasons unknown, and there may have been a great relationship back then....

But aside from running into them purely by accident at a Sunday Market or something, and it wasn't a recent-ish ending... and there is nothing to really go back on - then perhaps a wave or a discrete nod or something... or if it was a particularly unsavoury relationship - then perhaps nothing at all.

And with the more addictive / dysfunctional / crazy relationships - or previous relationships, I have found that the real secret is not getting out, it's staying out.

I ran into one of my MAJOR ex's - in a super market car park at night, and Jesus fuck - I was leaning against my utility and "THERE SHE WAS" 30 or so meters away, I was in a dimly lit area, and she was near the entrance..

I had to finish what I was eating and then get into the car, and call a friend so I could get focused enough, to start the car, drive it past her and then round the parking area to the exit and just GO... to get out, stay out and get gone.

The 6 hours you wasted to see this bitch....You aint getting it back.
