I would have placed her under citizen's arrest before she was able to go back to the car held her there until the cops showed up.

When things get like this with women I think these guys just need to walk away and leave them to their fate. In older times when someone is acting crazy I would just tell them to sit down on shoulder or hold them their then when an opening comes move their car to the shoulder and take their keys.
