This is really frightening - and the big hump in the water - that is the back end......

Thing comes up like a submarine breaching the surface. First time I saw it I didn't know what to expect but I could tell from the wake it was creating that it wasn't something to mess with.

I find that to be genuinely frightening..... Notice the hump in the water is like 3 or so meters, behind the head....

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: yeah, & they are fast in water at least. I think hippos kill more people in Africa every year than any other animal

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: do you know where that is? I thought hippos preferred rivers but I'm no expert. That looks like ocean or big lake.

@TripeSwing: I am not totally sure, but I have never seen hippos in estuaryies or ocean / sea water... not sure just never seen nor heard of it. At 0:00 and 13:00 it could be a wide, slow flowing section of river, or it could be a river / lake combination. But from the beginning there are wide flat flood plains on the side of the river, and then there are hills with trees on them. So thinking in more like geological time spans, it looks like a river has been slowly eroding its way into the earth.....

Ironically the three most deadly animals in Africa are herbivores.

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: I'd bet it's also at the end of the rainy season when water bodies are at the yearly water high mark.

@Councilof1: Good point..... I mean this is really shovelling shit up hill but you might be able to look up "boat being chased by hippo" or something like that, and you might be able to track back to where the attempted attack took place.... Could be some tourist boat ride / national park, or it could be the locals doing their thing, and knowing where the cuntosaurauses hang out in the river...
