I have worked in the steel industry for most of my life and the few taboos of that are:
1. Remove all sharp or very square edges.
2. Round over corners.
3. And don't leave pointy ends on round or square bars and rods.
So that the edges and corners and ends of bars don't slice, cut, tear or dig in really easily.
You can EASILY slice through heavy leather gloves on the edges of steel plate that are a little ragged from less than ideal set shears.... Like a super sharp carving knife, cutting a slice of bread. So with the nails Bimbo was using, IF they were rounded over into a dome -ish shape, then that would greatly reduce the risk of injury. However Bimbo Feminist and her Mouthy Bum Chum, wasn't having any of it. "You will respect mah Authoratah!" - is not a creditable, intelligent, response.
