I found it to be interesting. I’m quite curious what the board meant by going rogue though? It seems that the sexbots in this video is at least at our level of consciousness if it’s able to even do that.

Yeah. Will be interesting to see how they choose to go about those types of things in the future as they develop more of these.

@RockNRollDolls: I personally would not get one that’s connected to the internet. For me i’d have to be a sort of black box if it has any sort of ‘AI’.

Otherwise It’d be not that the walls have ears, but instead that the doll has eyes and ears.

@eldrazi317: well there's that whole fact but sadly at the moment almost all of these ai-based things are just running off of a central Google cloud service using their apis.

But I'm not one to get excited for the AI. In fact I'm actually quite to the point where I hope they back away from that crap soon. I'm tired of every article I read involving dolls they use the word AI just because it's like a trendy buzzword but it's not actually accurate to what we're dealing with here. It isn't a I but it's not a self-sufficient AI it's basically just Siri / Google Assistant, with a few pre-recorded lines about sex

@RockNRollDolls: I've talked to a lot of guys about incorporating AI into dolls and see a sharp divide. Guys are either all in favor of it or totally against it. The against camp usually have bad past experiences with women like nasty divorces so I totally get it. And as you point out, current AI is just canned lines.

@Calling All Stations: For me I’m against getting an AI doll due to there most likely being some third party seeing abs recording all my actions. If there is a blackbox AI that only I have access to then — good.

By durable hands I refer to the internal skeletal/wire hand!

@eldrazi317: well the articulated fingers use a plastic based hand skeleton with a bunch of hinges so it's not super durables could be. But eventually I think they will use better and more stable designs.
