Firefighters battle flames in western Spain

Hundreds were evacuated and about 2,000 hectares burnt as wildfires engulfed north-western Spain. <br> <br>According to firefighting commanders, the situation was ‘critical’ and went out of control, reaching as far as Sierra de Gata.
