Florida man arrested after stealing truck with two kids inside

A Florida man has been charged with kidnapping, after stealing a truck with two small children inside, according to authorities. On Monday night in Tampa, a father hailed down Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputy Jonathan Pazmino Alvarez and reported that his pickup had just been stolen, along with his two children, aged 4 and 8. <br> <br>According to a press release from the sheriff's deputy, Deputy Alvarez pursued the allegedly stolen 2011 white Chevrolet Silverado and made a traffic stop ‘within a short period of time.’ <br> <br>The suspect was identified by the sheriff's office as Kevin Smith, 37.
