Florida teens lead cops on high-speed chase

Two teenagers in Florida were arrested after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase that culminated in an officer using a precision immobilization technique (PIT) to stop the stolen car. And for those of you who don’t know what that is, it basically means they rear-ended the car until it spun out. The incident began when the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle theft report in Tampa. They spotted the juveniles driving a stolen red Toyota RAV4 SUV and attempted to pull them over, but the teenagers refused and a pursuit ensued on Interstate 75. <br> <br>A police helicopter captured footage of two police vehicles trying to box in the car, but the teens evaded them by driving onto the grass. Eventually, a police cruiser executed the PIT maneuver, causing the stolen car to collide with another police vehicle and come to a halt. The teenagers, identified as Terence Hipps, 15, and Ian Collins, 14, were arrested at gunpoint and face various charges, including grand theft motor vehicle.
