Divorce court is the new slavery. Men turned into indentured servants for decades. I was very fortunate with my divorce and splitting up with my ex gf after three years of cohabitation. Neither went after me for anything as they both worked so no alimony and no kids. Someone tried to set me up with a single mom and in Canada you'll be on the hook for another man's kids so no thank you.
Stay strong brother. My ex broke my heart too. Took me almost a year to start feeling back to normal. I just connect to God now and pray and I'm comfortable with myself and solitude.
