What if I told you there was an always-on, carbon free, renewable power source deep beneath the earth's surface. Why haven't we been using this power source, literally available under our feet, as much as possible? Let's look at the explanation behind Geothermal energy and it's challenges ... one of which is a little ... ground-breaking.

I once stayed in a house with Geothermal Heat. It seemed cold all the time. No thanks.

the whole point of geothermal is to use what the planet already provides for free, in the form of heat in the winter and cooling in the summer. so yes, you would be correct that it would be cooler during the colder times of the year just by itself, as it can often be 30 degrees fh below outside, but while in the house just by the dirt it maintains at least 60 degrees fh. but it makes it much cheaper for the home owner to heat the house as the geothermal makes up for at least 60% of the heating required to heat that space becomes super cheap. then in the summer it maintains cooling much better than a conventional house does because it's also buried under ground causing the cooling to become cheaper. it's a very efficient and cheap way of living once you consider all the factors. things are only bound to become much more expensive from now on, due to our massive inflation after these covid lockdown years. and with constant reports of people without power because idiots in the office don't know how to run this country, are running it into the ground, as more shit is about to hit the fan downstream for folks like us. it will be survival for everybody, and in many ways it will send us back in time into the dark ages.
