I know this an old video but this is the second time I have come back to because of the topic. I think it touches on a topic few people bring up about this sort of genre in games and that is the shock and potential trauma it can cause. You check the tag and see NSFW and go “that’s why where here lol” but what is left out sometimes is what that can truly mean… A bundle of things including gore, rape and other truly messed up things you were not expecting in your dose of attractive mostly cute anime girl escapism.
The usual excuse you tell yourself walking in to these kinds of games is “It’s not real it won’t affect me” but you really don’t know that till you see and experience it. You in your desire for an escape from the day-to-day get involved in the story of the life, desires and hardships of most likely an attractive female character your ape brain says to protect and be attracted to (does not help they are designed to be that way as well). You spend hours or maybe just a few minutes playing the game or watching it or reading it to then to see a scene where they are turn into a pile of gore, corrupted into a rape slave or any other sort of thing you were not expecting from the game. That one scene gets stuck in your mind, even if it is not the true ending, even if it’s not “real”.
Ultimately it is your fault for not vetting the game more, but that does not help if you were trying to avoid spoilers or enjoy the story brand new. I also get the point of what some of the games are doing, trying to tell a story even if it is a brutal one and brutal things happen in real life. These games though can be mental landmines to you though if you were not ready or thought you were ready. That is why I think it is important to raise awareness on this niche topic because some of these games can mess you up when all you came for was some one-handed gaming or a good story.

It's your healing spirit: children sense it faster, regarding the trust issue. Somethings can not be faked....

If you want to fix the "market," let the girls see these old bitches whine and dine their cats crying themselves to sleep dreaming of Chad cock, bring back the Patriarchy and all its "Toxic Masculinity," and repel the 19th Amendment, Family Court, Women automatically getting full custody, with every child who dies under their mother's care the judge who awarded it gets punished, and No Fault Divorce. That will be one Hell of Square 1 to begin the healing, but it won't happen.

I wonder could these ich.io. games be a form of therapy or a more likely cause for depression? Maybe they're meant for girls: They love their drama! Weird. Interesting interview and discussion.
