Yeah some new information throws a spanner into the equation.
The big bang theory - was under the circumstances about as good as it got, for the time and technology it was created... and it was a pretty good theory... as theories go. Everything seemed to fit and it all made sense....
BUT up goes the James Webb Telescope, that has powers of observation beyond anything - and the evidence that came back was, "Ummmm Mmmmm this changes EVERYTHING".
So out goes the plausible and generally very good theory, and everything needs a reasonably plausible update......
Hmmmm now the science and conjecture, gets to be more interesting, than the last theory.
