Some retard responds to an ad,, the promise of money , sex ,, marriage , children , property ,. etc.. A Nigerian scam is a scheme in which a sender requests help in facilitating the transfer of a substantial sum of money in exchange for commission payment... People hope it is true.. and for 15 dollars, 50 dollars,, 150 dollars,, etc.. keep the fantasy going.. So someone claims to be a beautiful woman from Indiana who inherited alot of money but needs help getting the money home from Nigeria.. A catfish is the dothead on the other end showing you pictures of a beautiful woman and talking dirty to ya.. lol.. that you give money to via phone cards,..

I know a few guy's who got catfished over the internet. I warned them because it was blatantly obvious. Oh well guess they needed to learn the hard way.
