Heavy rain causes flooding near California airport

Heavy rains submerged streets around Burbank Airport near Los Angeles, as the National Weather Service warned of a ‘cold and dangerous winter storm’ that would last through Saturday in California. <br> <br>The storms have left nearly one million homes and businesses without power from coast to coast, closed major roads, caused pileups and snarled up air travel.
