How To KNOW You Are Doing The RIGHT Thing In LIFE

I was just talking to one of my personal coaching students the other day and we were discussing goals and how he felt like he should be further than he was.⁠

He was getting really stressed about not being as far along as he felt like he should be and feeling like he was destroying his future and like he was a failure who would never be happy.⁠

I asked him why why wanted to reach his goals in life. Why did he want to make more money, get in shape, improve his social skills, etc and...⁠

Do you know what he said?⁠
⁠
I don't know, I guess so I can be happy.⁠
⁠
Well, good news my friend, is what I told him.⁠
⁠
Guess what you need to be happy in life is?⁠
⁠
Just three things:⁠

Some beer, some friends and some pizza...⁠
⁠
That's it.⁠
⁠
Think about it. Some of the best times you've probably had in life—when you've been the happiest—were probably when you were just hanging out with some friends, having a few drinks and eating some cheap food.⁠

Even a broke ass nobody can afford money for a few beers and some pizza.⁠
⁠
That means YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE THE CAPACITY TO BE HAPPY IN LIFE!⁠

NO MATTER WHAT YOU ACCOMPLISH OR DON'T.⁠
⁠
NO MATTER HOW BROKE YOU ARE.⁠
⁠
NO MATTER HOW MANY MISTAKES YOU MAKE.⁠
⁠
STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP CHASING HAPPINESS.⁠
⁠
YOU ALREADY HAVE IT—or at least the capacity for it.⁠
⁠
If you are going to chase something, chase greatness... chase excellence.⁠
