I'm friends with the nice black people upstairs. The President of the HOA tried 3 times to get me removed by making up stuff. As you can imagine, she's a liberal. The people upstairs are not.

And so the day came that el presidente was caught with her panties down. It's a senior complex and no one under 55 is allowed to live here. The rec room downstairs is locked so strangers don't just come in and sleep there during the night.

But there we were: Her niece, significant other and their kid come drifting from 5 states away, manage to get in through the locked door with the code el presidente gave them and spend over night in the rec room. I caught it and passed word along to nice neighbor upstairs.

And the next thing you know, nice black lady from upstairs went ballistic. She reamed out el presidente out royally, publicly through email. She's going to run for HOA presidency. She defended me to the hilt. I am no longer in danger from being removed, you can be sure of that.

When you think defense, you might consider making friends with your neighbors. This works especially well if they are of a conservative bent in a mostly extreme leftist environment. I was just friendly and helpful. I didn't go out to manipulate anyone. But it's a good idea to be good neighbors because you never know when it will pay off royally.
