They have altered the remuneration laws so that now, waitresses and shop assistants earn almost as much as tradesmen. Mid-level nurses would earn higher. It has had the effect of creating a very stressful society.

In addition to the legislated Minimum Wage theft of the private sector (i.e. private businesses mandated to pay wages based on hours worked rather than productivity), I would would suggest that females occupy the majority of the Government support roles at present... Roles in bureaucracy, administration, clerical, nursing, civil servants, etc... The police and politicians are still mostly men, but they're getting paid-off handsomely, including with large pensions.
