I have a letter from a monk written in 1570 to the bishop, in the UK, complaining about the local coounty festival where everyone does all of the harvesting and they all gather together in a huge crowd and eat and drink and all fuck each other - married or not and he is saying about all the sins and ungodly conduct - I just think this is how people are.... And marriage is an atrifical construct.... sort of.

I was mostly correct: Apollo and Artemis or Apollo and Diana (in Latin not the Greek) were twins of Latona and Zeus and Maia or Maia Dia (older name) was mother of Mercury (latin) or Hermed. The Beltane Fires (or Festivals or Orgies) were held in May, the May Day, and the Fall orgied though-- I know Christmas used to be celevrated that way in December but that was Winter Soltace if I am not mistaken, the Harvest Orgy would have to have been in September/October maybe November but that is wintry snowy season. I am think mostly laate Augugst and September -- October has the Hallows Eve or Halloween but that is getting into late fall snowy time. I might have to think about this more or conduct som research. Having a End of Harvest orgy seems logical: I mean in the New World we have Thanksgiving. and I believe both Labor Day and Thanksgiving might have took over Old World "festivals," which often were orgies. Hey man, people lijke to fuck! Technically, God (of Israel) said "Go Forth and multiply:" He did not say Go and get married and then mulitply or uhm procreate... I think I know this, but I just am not thinking of it. Maybe itis Hallow's Eve?!
