@Lucifer333: coal mining pays 100k and requires no HS diploma. When tradesmen who are at the top of their trade switch trades they don't start off at the top. They are guaranteed to lose 30k to 50k. That's what a one of the guys who job it was to work on our oil pipelines said when told he could switch to installing solar panels. With all of Americas problems I see no reason to move to Europe. Europe is my woke & politically correct than the US. That's why many of us on the right call them Eurofags.

@Lucifer333: in America coal mining is considered a trade. They descend thousands of feet underground . They use tools and equipment similar to tradesmen. Its a dangerous job. Low barrier of entry. High reward. They aren't merely digging holes. Coal mining is a trade. When you say coal miners should learn a trade you are actually saying that they should change trades. Tradesmen who's trades have to do with fossil fuels lose out when our government attacks the gas & coal industry.

@Lucifer333: OK. I'm going to use your argument against you. You say that they should just learn a skilled trade. Fine. Let's say you are an electrician making 100,000 USD . Electrician is undeniably a universal skilled trade. Now lets pretend that the government is attacking your profession. By your logic they should just be able to switch to another trade like plumber or construction worker. The problem with doing that is that the electrician isn't going to make 100,000 USD as an entry level plumber or construction worker. The electrician is going to lose 50,000 USD to 50,000 USD by switching over. Guys who have been coal minors for 20± years are making 100,000 USD. There you go. Simply learning a skilled trade after losing a 100,000 USD job that you are good at isn't really that great. Especially if your family is used to you making 100,000 USD.

@HereticVII: government cant attack trades, it can attack coakmining because mining companies are heavily regulated, so basically these miners are civil servents by proxy. And miners know this hence the reason why they get away with huge salaries while not needing any formal training
