I have the same "Have a shit fit" response, to throwing out a perfectly good dinner set of nice china plates, or furniture, or spanners, or tins of good house paint.

Or you get a really nice dinner served up, with peas, beans, broccoli, roast potatoes, turnips, roast leg of lamb with gravy, and because the person who got it, only picked at a few of the peas, you then scrape the whole plate of food into the bin....
