LANDLORDS Are SCUMBAGS! ?

On the list of hated or mocked professions, surely landlords rank in amongst one of the toppest places. Alongside food, shelter is the most fundamental of all human needs.

I'm a landlord myself. I can't count the times where I've been accused of being a scumbag.

Shouldn’t we be treated like those who provide food, like the neighborhood grocery store? smile

This has to do with the rise of the "Generation Rent".

“Generation rent” is not just a media buzzword: nearly half of 25- to 34-year-olds rent their home, a percentage that has doubled in a decade, and recent figures project that by 2025 a quarter of all households will privately rent, with the biggest increase among those aged between 20 and 39. But the number of renting families with children has also increased, tripling in 10 years to almost 1.5 million.
