The issue in a nutshell; [[[they]]] are running out of runway; the financial system is about to be flipped. Debt forgiveness and communism is about to be introduced, essentially a Tyranny of the Weak and the Bankrupt, and they want to be able to round-up, imprison and finally execute all non-compliers.... Hence, the push to ban guns in the Anglo'sphere', where only the reigning tyranny owns the guns...
