Poor simp should have stopped the relationship at the 5yrs they were together but not married. But, hindsight is usually 20/20, right?

This is exactly why most women in the last 30 years are civil to me but generally avoid me... I'm bluntly honest with them but I try not to be a complete asshole. I enjoy the quiet very much!

It's hard to have an opinion without hearing his side, but it sounds like a bad relationship no matter what. I'm divorced and I couldn't imagine lying and sneaking like that guy did (assuming she's telling the truth). As we know, it usually takes 2 people to have a car wreck so I'll hold judgement.

Either way, "happy wife, happy life" sounds like the 2nd to last line of a suicide letter.

Getting into a relationship with a woman is as good as halving your rights and doubling your responsibility. it's why society lies to men about womens' nature and god (or nature, depending on your creation bias) gave men such a high sex drive. Without those two things in play, no rational man would agree to engaging in a relationship with these all-but-worthless clumps of cells. RPM is right. Stop lying. These hoes can't kick your ass.

And for the record, "happy wife, happy life" is codespeak for "my wife/girlfriend is a raging cunt."

Lying is not good for your soul either. Better to be hated for telling the truth than hated for lying.
