You know, honestly, I grew up in an Air Force town. Same one they filmed part of Dr. Strangelove in. Anyway, I never really saw race as a child. Everyone was one race....Air Force. I miss that. Right now I feel like someone transported me into the part of South Africa to be hunted. I am thankful I do not live in a large city. A disabled white boy would be an easy target. (Well maybe not easy, but less mobile). In my mind this kind of stuff is the result of a few things, Gynocentric National Thinking, Collective Stupidity and Naivete'. Being an outcast and an introvert I have had many opportunities to watch collective stupidity from a distance. You start to understand that the cliche saying of "No one could possibly be that stupid" obviously came from someone who only saw reality through a Walt Disney lens. Either way its awesome that you were able to push the Wizard's Curtain aside on the collective belief structure. Not many people can these days.
