To be honest I almost didn't upload this video. It's the hardest video I've made to date, and I was afraid to hit publish out of shame/embarrassment and a fear of the response. I filmed it at the start of February 2023, exactly 6 months after starting work as a doctor - and more than 2 months later I've finally decided to post it in the hopes that it might be helpful to at least one person out there - medical student, fellow junior doctor, or anyone else.
I've tried to give a balanced account of my personal experience - both the good and the not-so-good. I hoped it might help to normalise conversations around work that don't focus solely on the positive.
My first 6 months of working as a doctor in the UK's National Health Service have been a rollercoaster of emotions and personal growth. Overall it has been an amazing learning experience that I won't forget - I'm so grateful for everything and all the opportunities I've had in my life and I know that I'm speaking from a position of huge privilege for which I feel very lucky. Everyone's journey is different, this is just my personal experience!

Sending lots of love to you reading this ❤

Note that I'm just sharing my own personal views and feelings here - all opinions are my own.

IG: @izzysealey

» Connect with me ?
? So, a woman is admitting she can't be a leader and is emotional all the time? Damn. No wonder doctors fuck their nurses... I kind of wish I was her nurse or paramedic! I woudn't mind having a quickie or three with her!

@DutchCobbler: You think I would raw dawg her? Ever wonder how they get into Med School? I imagine a "CPR" demonstration is required...

@WMHarrison94: I don't know who you would raw dog, but I do know that crabs and herps don't care if you're suited up. Hell, plenty of guys got herps and warts from a trouser friendly kiss. You'd have safer sex with a public urinal than with most modern women.

@KRONAG: I've seen this a lot in western US. Watch an Asian woman with a lot of white fiends and they sound/mimic every aspect of them completely. See Asian women with lots of black friends, they sound like/mimic them perfectly. Same with Latina, or pretty much any other demographic. They're social chameleons that adopt the mannerisms of their immediate social groups, almost like it's practiced.

@WMHarrison94: Maybe if they did it naturally today women have it easy. They do not go through the pain of such things. Look back in the day I read about a woman what is now wisconsin in the 1800s had a child had a baby an hr later went back to gardening as the 7 yr old daughter took care of the new born. Today women have it far easier made them soft.

@ErickRendoza 204: Hmmm. So, maybe we should start beating them to toughen them up. I mean it seemed to work on boys... and Men and Women are "the same," right?
