I kind of like a really good bit of bullshit - a grand fishing story etc.. and the spherical earth (reality) vs. the flat earth (bullshit) is kind of good, because the flat earth cases, or mostly head cases in this case, rest soley on inventive and creative bullshit and cleverly worded cases... The merriment in the issue is the "grand fishing story" types of creativity, in the flat earth jestathon.
However it's been a bit obsessive and too over the top and kind of too much barefaced lying in many quarters, than a great prank...
The debates are great exercises in creative reasoning... or the lack of.
